Big deal? I think so. I have a unique first name and someone who lives down the hall and only knows my first name can get my last name and middle initial. A Google search with this information returns my Twitter account, MySpace page, emails to mailing lists and an article about me in the Police Blotter.

That’s a lot of information in a short period of time for someone to whom I only gave my first name.

That is also enough motivation for me to restrict my tweets, delete my MySpace page, and stop participating in public mailing lists with my real name. I have been giving away the information. Like Ken Fischer says Sometimes, a wall in the information age is a good thing.

Now, I wonder what information I can get about other people on the list using only: Wireshark, Facebook, Google, MySpace and Twitter.
